The Galaxy S5 sports a 16 megapixel camera along with a completely redesigned interface. This should make shooting photos, editing them easier. Photos are quickly shot, thanks to the redesigned autofocus within 0.3 seconds. Thanks to the Selective Focus, you can even zoom in on a subject afterwards.

The smartphone works on 4G networks (Cat. 4) and to emphasize, Samsung has devised a new way of downloading. Thanks to a special app called Download Booster you can simultaneously retrieve files quickly through both the Wi-Fi network or via the 4G network.

Along with the S5 Samsung announces version 3.0 of the S Health app. The aim is to make you better keep fit and thereby to help you. You could previously count steps, with the Galaxy S5 you can even monitor your heart rate. Thanks to the built-in heart rate back of the unit. So, you have a very smart fitness coach in your pocket now.

The S5 is waterproof and IP67 certified so he can against water and dust easily. The home button also doubles up as a fingerprint scanner for additional security. The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes out in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. We can expect it in stores in mid April 2014. Suggested retail prices are not yet published but I think it may be around the Galaxy S4 or even cheaper.
