Been lazying for the past 1.5 weeks mainly due to an irritating cold. I had attended MoEngage face to face interview on 24th Dec 2018 and it turned out baad. But the interviewer was too good and courteous and put up with my struggle. Her main intention was to check my problem solving skills which makes more sense unlike the usual theoretical questions and programming language specific questions asked generally in tech interviews. At least I got to now how to prepare and what topics to prepare.
I started off after that disastrous interview feeling somewhat happy. I finished Node.js tutorial by Net Ninja
( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4cUxeGkcC9gcy9lrvMJ75z9maRw4byYp ) and built a cool To-Do app using AWS for the database. I looked for python tutorials and have selected this playlist – https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6gx4Cwl9DGAcbMi1sH6oAMk4JHw91mC_.
I checked out the Python 3 tutorial from the Net Ninja channel itself, but the above one looked like it contained more topics.
Main reasons to start Python –
- It’s had god good demand in the industry
- It is very useful in solving online coding challenged quickly in rigid time constraints as it is extremely non verbose. I have been burnt due to Java’s verbose style of programming.
Some of the goals which I have set for 2019
- Have a job offer within Feb 28
- Quit Sugar intake at workplace
